Welcome to Raleigh International, Ireland Youth Development Charity (Raleigh Ireland) Raleigh Ireland is a Raleigh Group for Raleigh International Charity (UK). Raleigh International aims to help young people from all backgrounds and nationalities to discover their full potential by working together on community, environmental and adventure projects in developing countries around the world. We offer 10 and 5 week expeditions to Namibia, Malaysia (Borneo), Costa Rica & Nicaragua. Young people aged 17 to 24 are welcome as expedition volunteers. If you are 25+, you are also welcome as volunteer staff. From experiencing the benefits of a Raleigh International expedition, and seeing the demand for such an organisation in Ireland, a group of Irish volunteers are in the process of developing a Raleigh division in Ireland. We are still in our very early stages and our volunteers are working on this project on a part time basis. Since we started the project two years ago we have experienced huge interest in what Raleigh International offers. Although as a volunteer group we are finding it difficult to keep up with this demand. As a result we are temporarily ceasing the activities and support base of Raleigh Ireland while we restructure and generate a larger volunteer base, and hopefully funding. Raleigh International has always welcomed applications from Irish volunteers and will continue to do so.
